Overview

Sales Tax Calculator was written out of frustration with filling in expense claim forms and finding some receipts only showed the gross amount and not the complete VAT (sales tax) breakdown. The App enables you to find the VAT element and the price net of VAT in one calculation instead of two on a regular calculator.

The App is very simple to use. Enter the value that you know and select whether this includes or excludes sales tax. The App then calculates all the other values for you.

Sales Tax has one settings screen which lets you specify the tax rate you wish to use. This value is saved for future calculations. By setting the rate manually, the App will work anywhere in the world.

In addition to the calculator function the Sales Tax has an extensive database of tax rates and associated information for different regions. In version 2.1.4 All EU Countries and US States are included as well as eight other countries including Australia, India and Switzerland. A convenient look up resources and faster than having to search the web.
