I worked for many years in sales and during that time came to realise just how time consuming and tedious producing monthly and quarterly sales forecasts were. Now, running this App development business, I need sales forecasts but they are still time consuming to create. I wrote this App to make that task easier.
No two companies have the same sales process so Sales Planner lets you create a custom sales process as well as defining regions and sectors to categorise customers by. The idea behind the App is that you update deals immediately when something changes. That way your sales forecast is always current and you no longer need to set aside hours of time to create a forecast.
The iPhone is a great device, but ultimately it is just a phone! Sales Planner does not try to be a CRM system nor does it try and emulate a spreadsheet. What it does do is let you capture the most important data, quickly, as it changes and then lets you export information easily (by email in CSV format) so you can include it in your CRM system or do more detailed analysis using a spreadsheet.
